Earlier I created a painting titled “Hidden Village”, which featured charcoal and watercolor. The charcoal was a result of sprinkling powdered charcoal over tubs of water, then dipping watercolor paper in and hanging to dry. Many “designs” appeared. It was a messy project, so I did several sheets at the same time. Sunday, I decided to take some small pieces, seal them and apply to watercolor paper. The results are below. The first is called “Bella.” And, the second is “Postcards Home.” These are small pieces and will be in my studio.
